13th of November 2019, Chișinău - Continuous promotion of the objectives of economic diplomacy, advancing key reforms, stabilisation of the economy and the consolidation of a rule-based business environment, as well as diversification of markets for national products and services. These are the main topics raised by State Secretary Tatiana Molcean at the opening of the sixth edition of the most important economic event in the country - “Moldova Business Week”.
In her speech, Tatiana Molcean emphasized the priorities that are necessary to promote the economic and business potential of the Republic of Moldova, namely: the valorisation traditional markets for local products and services, exploring and gaining access to new markets and strengthening the image of our country as an attractive place for investment. “With a strategic geographical location - a neighbour of the European Union to the east, a bridge between East and West - with a number of free trade agreements, such as ZLSAC, CIS, CEFTA, Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, our country today has privileged access to a market of more than 800 million consumers. It is a great advantage”, the Moldovan diplomat pointed out.
Regarding the positive impact of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between the Republic of Moldova and the EU, Tatiana Molcean noted that it is necessary to combine all efforts to explore new markets and enter them using domestic products and services from strategic sectors, such as IT, agri-food, tourism, automotive, fashion etc. “The Republic of Moldova strengthens its image of a reliable partner in the business environment and becomes an attractive place for foreign investment. At the same time, the country seeks to use the potential existing in various markets around the world, such as the USA, China, India, Japan, Israel, Canada, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, etc.,” added Tatiana Molcean.
Already at the sixth edition, “Moldova Business Week” is held in Chișinău between the 13th and the 16th of November 2019. The event is attended by more than 1000 entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders from 24 countries, as well as 26 well-known speakers from 15 countries.
