3rd of July 2020, Chișinău - The official delegates of the Republic of Moldova and the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland held yesterday the third round of negotiations, in a videoconference format, on the topic of the bilateral agreement of partnership, trade and cooperation. The Moldovan representative was the State Secretary of the MFAEI, Tatiana Molcean.

These negotiations took place in the context of consolidating and assuring the continuation of political-diplomatic, commercial-economic and bilateral sectorial relations after Brexit.

The parties have addressed a large set of important subjects that will create a solid legal framework for the development of the political dialogue and the multidimensional interaction between the two states, including the advancement on the economic and investment pathway.

In this context, the mutual interest to finish the negotiations on the Agreement mentioned was reiterated, so that its implementation can begin once the transitional period of Brexit is finished.

Maintaining a constant dialogue with the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland remains one of the priorities of the Republic of Moldova, in order to ensure favourable conditions for the deepening of bilateral relations, stimulation of economic agents and the contacts between people.
