11 May 2019, Chișinău – In the context of celebrating the Europe Day, the second edition of the painting contest "Europe: the colours of present and future" took place this year, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and the National Fine Arts Museum of Moldova, where the works of children and teenagers from all over the country were displayed.
In this contest, which is part of the range of activities promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration on the occasion of “Europe Day 2019”, took part altogether 184 works. Following the assessment performed by the contest committee, consisting of the representatives of the three mentioned institutions, have been selected 40 finalist works. As a result, 13 of them were submitted for award, in accordance with the regulation of the contest.
Within the gala of finalists, which took place on the “European Village” stage in the Public Garden “Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt”, ten works were awarded honourary mentions and three works were awarded diplomas of I, II, and III degree, as follows:

All the 40 finalist works will be exhibited at the Republican Puppet Theater "Licurici", between 11 May – 1 June 2019, from Monday to Friday, between 10.00-17.00 and on Saturdays and Sundays, between 10.00-16.00.
