November 21, 2025, Chișinău – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, held a telephone conversation with Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov.

During the discussion, Minister Mihai Popșoi reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova’s support for Turkmenistan’s internationally recognized permanent neutrality.

The two officials agreed to organize bilateral political consultations as a tool to strengthen dialogue and coordination on issues of common interest.

The ministers also reviewed the main areas of cooperation between the two countries and highlighted the potential for deepening collaboration, particularly in the energy sector.

Minister Popșoi expressed gratitude for the invitation to visit Turkmenistan, emphasizing that such a visit would contribute to expanding and energizing Moldovan-Turkmen relations.
