August 26, 2021, Chișinău - Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu welcomed a farewell visit to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, Anna Lyberg.

The Moldovan official expressed gratitude to the Swedish ambassador for the sustained work to promote the development and strengthening of bilateral relations. During its term, Sweden has been an active partner for the Republic of Moldova, supporting projects on strengthening economic integration with the European Union, developing the market economy, promoting democracy, equal opportunities, human rights and the development of the rule of law, the environment and climate change mitigation.

Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu appreciated the intense and dynamic development of relations between our states and expressed the desire to continue and diversify them, including in the context of Sweden holding the OSCE Presidency.
