October 15, 2025, Chișinău – The technical assistance project on “Enhancing Crisis Management and Cyber Resilience of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova” was officially signed. The project is funded by the Nordic and Baltic countries (NB-8) – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden – with a total value of USD 3.1 million.

The document was signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi and the UNDP Resident Representative in Moldova, Daniela Gasparikova.

The project aims to support the strengthening of institutional capacity to ensure the continuity of diplomatic activities in managing various international crises, in line with international standards. This includes modernizing diplomatic procedures and infrastructure and fortifying the Ministry’s cybersecurity.

“This support from our Nordic and Baltic partners represents a strategic investment in the safety and efficiency of diplomatic operations, which will enhance the Ministry’s capacity to manage international crises, with a focus on protecting Moldovan citizens abroad,” stated Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi.

The project will be implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), acting as the implementing partner, which will ensure the coordination of activities and the efficient management of resources in accordance with international standards.
