The 2025 Enlargement Report presented by the European Commission confirms the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in the EU accession process, including under Chapter 31 – Common Foreign, Security and Defence Policy, which is part of Cluster VI.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the conclusions of the report, which reflect the continuous efforts to align the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova with that of the European Union.
Over the past year, our country has strengthened political and diplomatic cooperation with EU Member States, supported the EU’s common positions and statements within international organizations, and developed bilateral and multilateral partnerships in support of the objective of European integration.
In the period ahead, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue developing the institutional framework and enhancing diplomatic capacities, with a view to active participation in the European mechanisms of foreign and security policy.
“EU accession is a strategic objective of the Republic of Moldova. The results confirm that we are on the right path, and the pace of reforms must be maintained. We thank everyone who contributes daily to this process — state institutions, civil society, citizens, and our European partners,” stated Mihai Popșoi.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms its full commitment to promoting an active foreign policy aimed at the full integration of the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
