23 March 2021, Ottawa - The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Canada, Emil Druc, presented letters of accreditation to the Administrator of the Government of Canada, Richard Wagner, on 22 March during a ceremony held in videoconference format.
Ambassador Emil Druc highlighted that the objectives of his mandate are to promote political dialogue and strengthen bottom-up cooperation between both countries. In the discussion that followed the ceremony, the ambassador referred to the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation along the francophone track, reiterating the initiative of a partnership between the judicial courts of the Republic of Moldova and Canada, which can be extended given that the Administrator of the Government of Canada is also President of the Association of Francophone Constitutional Courts and has already visited the Republic of Moldova in this capacity.
For his part, Richard Wagner, Administrator of the Government of Canada, expressed his willingness to develop bilateral relations and to further support Moldova in its efforts to reform the justice sector, noting his full support for the initiative put forward by the ambassador.
