May 27, 2025 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces that on May 27, 2025, the evacuation of a woman, a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, from the Gaza Strip was completed. At her request, her three children remained in the Gaza Strip with the family of her deceased husband.

The woman is currently safe, and Moldovan authorities are providing the necessary assistance for her continued journey and consular support. She is expected to arrive in the Republic of Moldova shortly.

The evacuation operation was made possible thanks to close cooperation between the authorities of the Republic of Moldova, the State of Israel, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as the sustained efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the State of Israel, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic of Turkey, the Honorary Consul of Moldova in Jordan, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Crisis Cell.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its gratitude to the international partners involved in this action and reaffirms its commitment to protecting the rights and security of Moldovan citizens in conflict zones.

The Ministry continues to monitor the situation in the region and recommends that citizens of the Republic of Moldova consult the relevant travel alerts.

So far, 53 Moldovan citizens have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip.
