April 5, 2019 – Geneva – The support offered by the World Health Organisation to healthcare reforms and the implementation of different programs and projects in the Republic of Moldova were discussed at the meeting between the State Secretary Tatiana Molcean and the Deputy Director General of WHO, Zsuzsanna Jakab.
Discussing about the cooperation with WHO, Tatiana Molcean expressed her gratitude for the activity carried by the organisation in the Republic of Moldova, in particular for the technical support offered when implementing the reforms in the field of public health, including the reorganisation of areas of activity, National Public Health Agency institution-building and the modernisation of emergency medical services.
Furthermore, Zsuzsanna Jakab appreciated the good cooperation with the authorities from the Republic of Moldova as a regional Chief of the European Office of WHO and happily agreed including the field of healthcare as a priority of National Development Strategy (Moldova 2030), also underlining WHO availability to further support the reforms in the healthcare field.
