August 24, 2025, Chișinău – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Maxime Prévot, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on August 25, 2025. The delegation from the Kingdom of the Netherlands will be led by the Director General for European Cooperation, Heleen Bakker.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen multilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the BENELUX countries, with a focus on European diplomacy, energy security, support for European integration, and development partnerships.

Key events include:

• A meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi;

• A joint press conference, which will take place on Monday, August 25, starting at 10:10 AM at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters (31 August 1989 Street, no. 80);

• A meeting with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu;

• A meeting with the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu;

• A visit to the Rădeni Photovoltaic Park and Digital Park, followed by a discussion with young people from the Republic of Moldova.

Media institutions are invited to attend the joint press conference by ensuring the presence of press representatives at the MFA headquarters by 09:50 AM.

The event will be broadcast live on the official Facebook pages of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, as well as on the privesc.eu platform.
