8 May 2025, Chișinău – Secretary of State Carolina Perebinos held a meeting with a delegation from the Liberal Party "Venstre" of Denmark, led by Henrik Bach Mortensen, Vice-President of Liberal International – a global organization that brings together liberal-oriented political parties.

During the discussions, recent developments in the Republic of Moldova were addressed, with a focus on the internal socio-political situation, the context of the energy sector, and preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Additionally, the current status of Moldova's EU accession process and related reforms were analyzed.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the regional security context, highlighting the impact of the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine on regional stability. Measures taken by the Moldovan authorities to strengthen resilience against external interference were also discussed.

Representatives of the Liberal Party Venstre expressed strong support for Moldova's European path.
