October 1, 2025, Chișinău – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Moldova, Petra Maria Lärke, who recently began her diplomatic mission in Chișinău.

 The Minister expressed gratitude to Sweden for its consistent support of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration path and for its contribution to development and modernization projects. He highlighted the joint project of the Nordic and Baltic countries, including Sweden, aimed at strengthening the institutional resilience of the MFA, with a focus on cyber security and crisis management, implemented through UNDP and scheduled for completion in 2028. He also acknowledged the value of the programs carried out by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

Ambassador Lärke congratulated the government team on the results of the legislative elections and reaffirmed Sweden’s support for the country’s European path.

The discussions also addressed the strengthening of high-level political dialogue, cooperation in the fields of security, defense, and energy, as well as in education, environmental protection, and the creative industries.
