May 21, 2025, Chișinău – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, had a meeting with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova to the Kingdom of Denmark, Asser Mortensen, and with the representatives of the European Movement in Denmark – a pro-European civic organization that supports democratic values and European integration.
During the discussions, Minister Mihai Popșoi highlighted the excellent relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Denmark and mentioned his recent visit to Copenhagen, where he held a productive meeting with his Danish counterpart, Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
“We look to the future with great optimism, and in light of the solid partnership we have with Denmark, we hope to continue making progress in our EU accession process,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
The representatives of the European Movement in Denmark expressed their appreciation for the European path of the Republic of Moldova and their interest in the socio-political developments in the country. The questions also focused on areas with potential for business development and attracting investments, highlighting the growing interest in the opportunities offered by our country.
Furthermore, ways to deepen economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries were discussed, with an emphasis on promoting tourism, educational exchanges, and mutual cultural presence.
“We are very interested in expanding economic collaboration. There are real opportunities that deserve to be explored and leveraged for the benefit of both parties,” added Mihai Popșoi.
