Mihai Popșoi Participates in the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference

November 3–4, Samarkand – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, is on a working visit to Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan, where he will participate in the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.

 One of the items on the conference agenda includes the election of new members to the UNESCO Executive Board, one of the organization’s main governing bodies. For the first time, the Republic of Moldova is running for a seat on the Executive Board, for a four-year term covering 2025–2029.

During the visit, Minister Mihai Popșoi will take part in the general debates of the conference, where he will deliver a speech to the plenary. In addition, the Moldovan Foreign Minister will hold bilateral meetings with UNESCO leadership and with counterparts attending the event.
