Mihai Popșoi Participates in Discussions on Current Challenges to EU's Foreign and Security Policy

8 May 2025, Warsaw – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi participated in the informal meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union member states, as well as candidate and potential candidate countries for EU membership (the Gymnich Format). The session was chaired by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, together with Poland's Foreign Minister, Radosław Sikorski.

The event provided a platform for exchanging views on the current challenges to the European Union's foreign and security policy, particularly focusing on strengthening resilience to hybrid threats.

Minister Popșoi highlighted the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in strengthening institutional resilience. He also received firm assurances from EU member states regarding their full support for Moldova's transformation process and its European path.

The meeting was organized by the Republic of Poland, which holds the presidency of the European Union Council during the first half of 2025.
