March 18, 2025, New Delhi – Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi participated in the 10th edition of the international conference “Raisina Dialogue,” at the invitation of India’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. During the event’s inauguration, Mihai Popșoi, along with the foreign ministers attending the conference, met with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The officials exchanged views on the importance of international cooperation.
During the panel “The Peace Picture: Actions and Aspirations,” Moldova’s top diplomat Mihai Popșoi, together with the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Latvia, and Hungary — Andrii Sybiha, Baiba Braže, and Péter Szijjártó — discussed prospects for peace in Ukraine and the role of Europe and the United States in bringing this war to a swift conclusion. The ministers debated the need for a coordinated strategy to address security challenges and guarantee stability and peace both in Ukraine and the wider region.
Mihai Popșoi stated that achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine that ends the war is essential.
“Russia’s aggression against Ukraine must be stopped! Now, more than ever, the international community must act united to support Ukraine against this aggression and find a solution that ensures a just peace. The path to peace cannot exist without real security guarantees for Ukraine. In this context, we welcome the discussions in Jeddah and the US efforts to stop this war and contribute to lasting peace. The position of the Republic of Moldova remains unchanged — solidarity with Ukraine remains firm.” Mihai Popșoi declared at the conference.
“Raisina Dialogue” is an annual event organized by India’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation. The conference brings together representatives from government institutions, business, media, and civil society, serving as an important platform for debating global challenges and exploring opportunities for international cooperation.
