Minister Oleg Țulea's telephone conversation with his Swedish counterpart, Ann Linde

June 12, 2020, Chișinău - Moldo-Swedish bilateral agenda, the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova and the assistance provided by Sweden to our country in combating the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic were the topics discussed today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Ann Linde.

Officials exchanged views on cooperation within the European institutions, including the outcome of yesterday's video conference of the foreign ministers of the Eastern Partnership Member States. The Head of Moldovan diplomacy informed about the progress made in carrying out reforms and implementing the objectives of European integration of our country, expressing appreciation for Sweden's support in this process, especially in its capacity as the founding state of the Eastern Partnership.

In the context of the efforts of the Moldovan authorities to combat the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, Minister Oleg Țulea thanked the Swedish assistance for supporting local companies that make protective equipment, as well as the independent information and communication agencies involved in the process of carrying out activities on a national level.

The parties also agreed on a visit to Chișinău by the Swedish Foreign Minister, in the context of Sweden taking over the OSCE presidency in 2021.
