October 5, 2021, Chișinău – From October 4 to 6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration hosted a Romanian delegation of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for an exchange of experience and good practices between the diplomatic staff of the two countries.
During the three day program, Romanian officials held talks with counterparts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău on a set of priority topics for the activity of diplomatic institutions, in particular in the fields of institutional management, human resources, digitalization of consular services, strategic communication and public diplomacy, as well as assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the ministry’s work.
„The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration is interested in developing institutional capacities through dialogue and transfer of expertise with its counterpart institution in Bucharest. It is a concrete result of the agreements concluded between the foreign ministers Nicu Popescu and Bogdan Aurescu during the recent work visit to Bucharest. Given the complex structure of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the professional experience of romanian diplomats, the idea of taking over good practices within the MFAEI was supported.” – declared Secretary General Eugen Revenco.
The official highlighted the ministry’s intention to ensure compliance of internal processes with the European information security management system and the improvement of institutional procedures.
It should be noted that a similar round of consultations was held in 2019.
