August 11, 2025, Chișinău – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova strongly condemns the recent statements made by officials of the Russian Federation, alleging that vote falsification would be carried out through the diaspora in the upcoming elections in Moldova. Such claims constitute an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of our country and are part of a disinformation campaign aimed at influencing electoral processes and discrediting Moldovan communities abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically disapproves of these information warfare maneuvers and emphasizes that the authorities of the Republic of Moldova are fully focused on organizing the parliamentary elections in a democratic, transparent manner and in accordance with the legal framework. Sustained efforts are being made to ensure that every voter can freely and uninfluencedly cast their vote, including Moldovan citizens in the diaspora, who represent an important and respected part of our society.

The Republic of Moldova reaffirms its firm commitment to democratic values and rejects any external attempt to undermine the electoral processes and the stability of the state.
