13 May 2025, Chișinău – State Secretary Carolina Perebinos held a meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Sam Streefkerk, a representative of the European Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Chișinău, Fred Duijn, the officials discussed the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in its EU accession process, with a special focus on Chapter 31 of the negotiations, "Foreign Policy, Security, and Defense."

Among the topics addressed were Moldova's alignment with the European Union's Common Foreign and Security Policy, the country's participation in crisis management missions within the EU's Common Security and Defense Policy, and the implementation of the Moldova–EU Partnership in the fields of security and defense.

State Secretary Carolina Perebinos expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Moldova's European journey, particularly in the area of cooperation on security and defense with the European Union.
