The session also featured interventions by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Dag Hartelius, and the First Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration of Ukraine, Vadym Halaichuk.

In her remarks, State Secretary Carolina Perebinos emphasized that the Republic of Moldova’s path toward the European Union, although complex and marked by challenges, remains firmly anchored in the values of democracy, freedom, and peace. She also presented recent progress in the accession process, highlighting that the Republic of Moldova is ready to initiate cluster-based negotiations, starting with the first cluster - Fundamental Values.

The official noted that the Republic of Moldova’s consistent efforts in the field of European integration are visible and appreciated by the European Commission in its 2025 Annual Enlargement Report. In this context, she highlighted the country’s performance in Cluster 6 - External Relations, where Moldova has achieved one of the most advanced levels of preparedness.
