February 24, 2025, Chișinău – Today, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Secretary of State Sergiu Mihov received copies of the letters of credence from the agreed ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova, Paun Rohovei.

During the discussions, the two interlocutors reviewed the current status and prospects of bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of strengthening political-diplomatic dialogue and sectoral cooperation.

Also today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi met with Ambassador Paun Rohovei, wishing the Ukrainian diplomat success in fulfilling his mandate in Chișinău and offering assurances of full support from the Moldovan authorities.

On the occasion of the third anniversary of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, Minister Mihai Popșoi conveyed a message of solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people, emphasizing the firm commitment of the Republic of Moldova to peace, freedom, and security. In the same context, the head of diplomacy reiterated Moldova’s support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
