10 April 2020, Chișinău - The repatriation and assistance of Moldovan citizens in difficult situations abroad is a major objective of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and of the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova. Up until April 9th more than 8,000 Moldovan citizens from several countries were repatriated, thanks to the efforts of the Ministry and diplomatic missions.
Following the restrictive travel measures imposed by other states in order to combat the spread of COVID19, the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova carried out 94 repatriation missions - 29 by air and 65 by land. As a result, 8061 citizens of the Republic of Moldova were repatriated.

Romania 28 overland - 1308 citizens;
France 6 charter flights - 1280 citizens;
United Kingdom 5 charter flights - 1006 citizens;
Russia 6 charter flights - 986 citizens;
Austria 2 overland - 183 citizens;
Hungary 2 overland - 337 citizens;
Italy 2 charter flights - 361 citizens;
Czech Republic 2 charter flights - 314 citizens;
Austria 1 charter flight - 83 citizens;
Ireland 1 charter flight - 220 citizens;
Germany 1 charter flight - 215 citizens;
Egypt 1 charter flight - 180 citizens;
Israel 1 charter flight - 156 citizens;
Turkey 1 charter flight - 155 citizens;
Poland 1 overland - 151 citizens;
Spain 1 charter flight - 93 citizens;
UAE 1 charter flight - 65 citizens;
Baltic countries 1 overland - 58 citizens;
Portugal 2 charter flights - 277 citizens;
Belarus 1 overland - 14 citizens;
Bulgaria 1 overland - 3 citizens;
