May 28, 2025, Jerusalem – The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of the State of Israel, Yariv Levin. During the meeting, the ministers signed the Agreement on Legal Cooperation in Civil and Commercial Matters between the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel. The document establishes a bilateral legal framework aimed at facilitating the faster and more efficient resolution of civil and commercial cases between the two countries.

The main objective of the treaty is to facilitate cooperation between the courts of both countries by establishing clear mechanisms for transmitting requests for legal assistance in civil and commercial matters.

As such, the courts of the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel will be able to mutually transmit requests for obtaining evidence, notify and communicate judicial and extrajudicial acts, as well as enforce court rulings issued by the courts of the other country.

The signing of this agreement represents an important step in strengthening bilateral Moldovan-Israeli relations, providing an effective tool for legal cooperation, which will support both citizens and the business environment in both countries. At the same time, the agreement will create the necessary conditions to intensify and protect mutual investments.
