March 20, 2025, Chișinău – Secretary of State Sergiu Mihov received the copies of credentials from the agreed ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Bucharest, Enkeleda Merkuri.

During the meeting, the two interlocutors reviewed the current status and prospects for the development of Moldovan-Albanian bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing political dialogue as well as identifying opportunities for economic cooperation. The diplomats mentioned the need for closer communication between the business communities of both countries, which would contribute to the growth and diversification of trade exchanges.

They also highlighted the willingness of both parties to continue collaboration within international organizations and to coordinate efforts in the European integration process of both countries, including through mutual support within initiatives and regional projects of common interest.

The Secretary of State wished Ambassador Enkeleda Merkuri success, assuring her of full support from the Moldovan authorities in the full exercise of her mandate.
