June 19, 2025, Chișinău – State Secretary Carolina Perebinos held discussions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a delegation from the Committee on European Affairs of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia.

Both sides welcomed the positive dynamics of Moldovan-Croatian dialogue, marked by recent interministerial political consultations earlier this month and high-level meetings in the recent period. They highlighted the favorable trade balance and the economic potential of both countries, with the aim of capitalizing on it in areas of mutual interest.

The Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union was one of the key topics discussed during the meeting. Particular attention was given to the progress made in implementing reforms, as well as developments related to Accession Chapter 31: “Foreign, Security and Defense Policy.”

State Secretary Carolina Perebinos reiterated the Republic of Moldova’s interest in realizing the potential of the Moldova–European Union Security and Defense Partnership. She also expressed gratitude to the European Union for the assistance provided through the European Union Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM) and the European Peace Facility (EPF).

At the same time, the Croatian delegation reaffirmed its strong support for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
