14 November 2025, Chișinău — State Secretary Valeriu Mija held a meeting with representatives of WatchDog.MD and the Emerging Threats Observatory (Poland) in the context of strengthening cooperation in combating disinformation and enhancing informational resilience.

During the discussion, the State Secretary drew attention to the challenges faced by modern democracies: hybrid warfare, illicit financing, and digital manipulation—tactics that undermine democratic values and fuel propaganda at the international level.

Valeriu Mija spoke about how these attacks were evident during the recent parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, noting the use of technologies based on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The State Secretary emphasized that defending democracy and ensuring the integrity of the electoral process was possible thanks to close coordination with state institutions, active involvement of civil society and free media, as well as support from Moldova’s international partners.

He also expressed gratitude to the Polish Government for supporting the Republic of Moldova’s European path and for the assistance provided through bilateral partnerships and international platforms.
