23 February 2026, Chișinău – State Secretary Valeriu Mija met today with a delegation of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark, which is paying a working visit to Chișinău.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, Denmark’s continued support for the Republic of Moldova’s European path, as well as regional security developments. The interlocutors addressed the efforts of the authorities in Chișinău to strengthen state resilience and counter hybrid threats.

State Secretary Valeriu Mija presented the Republic of Moldova’s priorities in the EU accession process and expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom of Denmark in advancing reforms and in promoting Moldova’s dialogue with European institutions. The importance of continued coordination with European partners was underlined in the context of the regional security situation and support for Ukraine.

The parties reaffirmed their interest in deepening political dialogue and developing cooperation in areas such as energy, digitalisation, investment, and strengthening institutional capacities, including by intensifying interparliamentary and sectoral contacts.
