The Republic of Moldova became a full member of the CoE on 13 July 1995. At present, Moldova is a party to 98 of the Council of Europe, including:

• The European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms
• The Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities
• The European Charter of Local Self-Government
• The European Social Charter
• European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
• The European Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings.
