17 June 2021, Antalya - Secretary of State Daniela Cujbă attended the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the SEECP participating states, organized by the Republic of Turkey, as Acting President of the SEECP, which took place this morning in the city of Antalya, Republic of Turkey.

The participants of the ministerial meeting discussed the impact of the pandemic crisis on the economies of the participating states and the efforts made to normalize the situation. Particular attention has been paid to dialogue with the European institutions, noting the progress made in European integration processes over the past year.

The discussions also focused on examining the priority directions of the South-East Europe Development Strategy 2030 (SEE 2030), aimed at helping both to combat the effects of the pandemic and to promote economic, sectoral growth and raising living standards in the region.

Daniela Cujbă appreciated the way the Turkish Presidency has exercised its mandate in the cooperation process in South-Eastern Europe. At the same time, the firm support of the Republic of Moldova for the implementation of the program of the presidency of the Hellenic Republic, which will officially take office on July 1, 2021, was confirmed.

Background note: the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) is a non-institutionalised regional cooperation structure designed by the states of the region as an expression of solidarity between them. The defining element is the fact that the SEECP is the only forum in South-Eastern Europe, formed and managed by the states of the region.
