Bilateral visits

• January 1, 1995 - visit to Brasilia of the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the United States of America, Nicolae Ţâu, for participating in the inauguration ceremony of the President of Brazil;
• June 28, 2005 and January 27, 2006 - working visits to Chisinau of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Kiev, Renato Luiz Rodrigues Marques;
• January 29, April 8-10, December 15-16 (2010), October 31-November 2, 2011, November 7-9, 2012, August 25-28 and December 9 (2013) - visits to Chisinau of Mr. Antonio Fernando Cruz de Mello, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Moldova, residing in Kiev;
• April 17-18, 2012 - a delegation from the Republic of Moldova led by Victor Bodiu, Secretary General of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, paid a working visit to Brasilia to participate at the First High Level Conference on Open Government Partnership;
• February 10-12, 2021 - visit to Chisinau of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Moldova, residing in Kiev, Norton de Andrade Mello Rapesta.

Bilateral legal framework

• Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Federative Republic of Brazil (Moscow, 11.08.1993).
• Agreement, concluded by exchange of notes, between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the partial abolition of the visa regime (Chisinau, 23.02.2006).

Trade and economic relations

According to the National Bureau of Statistics data, the volume of the bilateral trade of the Republic of Moldova with Brazil amounted to 9.8 million US dollars in 2020. These data do not reflect export and import operations of enterprises and economic agents from the left bank of the Nistru river and Bender municipality.
