Bilateral visits

  • May 4-8, 1995 - working visit to the Republic of Peru of Mr. Alexandru Burian, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova;
  • July 4-26, 1996 - working visit to the Republic of Peru of the governmental delegation of the Republic of Moldova, led by the Deputy Ministerof Foreign Affairs and Economy;
  • June 16, 2010 and March 24, 2011 - working visits to Chișinău of Mr. Ernesto Pinto-Bazurco Rittler, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Bucharest;
  • April 22-23, 2013 - working visit to Chișinău of Mr. Jose Antonio Arrospide del Busto, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Bucharest;
  • September 28-29, 2017 and November 7, 2018 - working visits to Chișinău of Ms. María Eugenia Echeverría Herrera, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Bucharest.

Bilateral legal framework

  • Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Peru (Washington, 11.08.1995).
  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of Peru on the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, service and/or special passports (Chisinau, 19.07.2011).

Economic relations

According to the National Bureau of Statistics data, the volume of the bilateral trade of the Republic of Moldova with the Republic of Peru amounted to 1.3 million US dollars in 2020. These data do not reflect export and import operations of enterprises and economic agents from the left bank of the Nistru river and Bender municipality.
